The Child Development & Families Studies department invites applicants to join our efforts in preparing teachers and education professionals, and providing parent education for San Francisco and the Bay Area. The Child Development and Family Studies Department offers a wide variety of classes that meet graduation and transfer requirements as well as courses designed to train students for careers in Early Childhood education. The ideal candidate will share the college's commitment to educating its racially and socioeconomically diverse student population and be knowledgeable about culturally responsive teaching techniques and effective practices for engaging diverse communities who are historically underrepresented and underserved in traditional classrooms and educational settings. The candidate will have broad knowledge of the ECE field to contribute innovative programs and teaching Job Duties:Teach credit and/or non-credit classes in the Child Development and Family Studies Department as required for certification by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing for the Child Development Permits, Community Care Licensing for Child Care Programs, for use in K-12 pre service pathways, and for certificate and degree acquisition and transfer.
