The workload compensation upon entry currently ranges from $2,163.36 to $3,302.80 per workload unit, depending upon pl Position Description: Instructor of Economics and Statistics - Temporary; Part time Job Duties:Provide instruction in accordance with the Social Sciences Department's established course outlines and the college catalog. Teach in-person Macro-Economics classes. Teach in-person Micro-Economics classes. Teach in-person introductory Statistics classes. Take the necessary training to teach the above courses online if needed. Participate in curriculum development. Utilize active learning techniques and culturally responsive teaching practices that engage historically marginalized students. Participate in other faculty responsibilities and duties as appropriate, such as department and campus committee work as well as professional development activities. Perform professional duties including, but not limited to, testing, grading, maintaining grade-book, maintaining student attendance records, assessing and reporting student learning outcomes (SLO's), etc. Teach day and/or evening and/or Saturday classes at any of the College's campuses as required. Support and engage in an innovative culture of culturally responsive, inclusive and anti-racist practices as it relates to student success with an awareness of student equity gaps. Participate in ongoing training on diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism to center pedagogy. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
