<div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Job Summary</b></H2> </div><div><p>The College of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences at Purdue University Northwest announces an exciting opportunity to apply for a Visiting Clinical Instructor position in our CAEP-accredited School of Education and Counseling to start August 2027. The successful candidate will teach courses primarily in the Elementary program, primarily the area of literacy. </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Position Responsibilities & Description</strong><br>The Visiting Clinical Instructor is a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position within the School of Education and Counseling. The successful candidate will teach up to 5 courses each semester, supervise teacher candidates in fields, and support program operations through service and committee work.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Teach five courses per semester (5-5 load) in literacy and foundational education areas.</li> <li>Attend and participate in Education Program faculty meetings.</li> <li>Engage in service activities that support the School, College, and University, including committee work, as assigned.</li> <li>Collaborate with faculty and staff on program assessment, accreditation, recruitment, and continuous improvement efforts.</li> <li>Perform other duties related to the operation, continued accreditation, and advancement of the educator preparation program.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Qualifications/Requirements</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited program in Education (Literacy related)</li> <li>Minimum of 3 years as a K-12 teacher</li> <li>Licensed, or eligible for a license, as a teacher in the state of Indiana (license does not have to be current)</li> <li>Science of Reading endorsement or similar certificate</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Preferred Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated successful teaching courses at university level (literacy methods preferred)</li> <li>Experience with Learning Management Systems for higher education</li> <li>Awareness and knowledge of AI and how to effectively integrate in courses</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>University Profile</b></H2> </div><div><p>Purdue University Northwest (PNW) is a student-centered university that transforms lives through innovative education, impactful research and community engagement.
