The successful candidate will teach courses in the Elementary and Secondary Education programs.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Position Responsibilities & Description</strong><br>The Clinical Assistant Professor is a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position within the School of Education and Counseling. The successful candidate will teach up to 5 courses each semester, supervise teacher candidates in fields, and support program operations through service and committee work.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Teach five courses per semester (5-5 load) in STEM education and related program areas.</li> <li>Supervise teacher candidates during field experiences</li> <li>Attend and participate in Education Program faculty meetings.</li> <li>Engage in service activities that support the School, College, and University, including committee work, as assigned.</li> <li>Collaborate with faculty and staff on program assessment, accreditation, recruitment, and continuous improvement efforts.</li> <li>Perform other duties related to the operation, continued accreditation, and advancement of the educator preparation program.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Qualifications/Requirements</b></H2> </div><div><p><strong>Required Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited program in Education (STEM related)</li> <li>Minimum of 3 years as a K-12 teacher</li> <li>Licensed, or eligible for a license, as a teacher in the state of Indiana (license does not have to be current)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Supervision of preservice teachers</li> <li>Teaching education courses at university level (science or math methods preferred)</li> <li>Experience with LMS and teaching online courses</li> <li>Awareness and knowledge of AI and how to effectively integrate in courses</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>University Profile</b></H2> </div><div><p>Purdue University Northwest (PNW) is a student-centered university that transforms lives through innovative education, impactful research and community engagement.
