About this position
The Kenneth C. Griffin Department of Economics at the University of Chicago invites applications for a part-time, renewable Lecturer 1B position for spring quarter of the 2026-2027 academic year. Depending on the curricular needs of the department, the successful candidate/s will teach between one and three courses per academic year. Additional duties include holding regularly scheduled office hours, and the preparation and grading of assignments and testing materials. A demonstrated record of teaching experience in empirical industrial organization, financial market design, international finance and microstructure or related fields is strongly preferred. The terms and conditions of employment for this position are covered by a collective bargaining agreement between the Service Employees Union (SEIU) and the University. This is a part time, non-benefits eligible position. Qualifications: Applicants must have a completed Ph.D. in Economics or Finance and a record of teaching at a university or four-year college level.
