Online 12/16/26-1/89/27 Online Course Description: This course focuses on the application of sociological theory and methods to identification, description, and analysis of contemporary social problems. Critique and analysis of alternative strategies for social change. Qualifications: Minimum of an MA in Sociology or a closely related discipline. Preference will be given to ABD and PhD level candidates from our program and others who have previously taught for us. Job Specific Qualifications: Responsibilities: Developing and/or updating a class syllabus. Ordering the appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date. Preparation of lectures, projects or other student assignments. Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours. Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course. Meeting all designated class periods. Submitting completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
