Intellectual Property and Information Policy (iPIP) Clinic Teaching Fellowship 2027-2029 Georgetown’s iPIP Clinic is a national leader in creative legal and sociotechnical work for justice-minded artists, nonprofits, and coalitions. We’re hiring our next clinical teaching fellow for a two-year term, July 2027 to July 2029, to: • Supervise student attorneys’ creative, competent client work; • Share teaching responsibility for planning and teaching relevant seminars; • Support students attorneys’ well-being, justice readiness , and lawyering skills; • Sustain a work environment rooted in trust, humor, respect, and joy; • Shape the Clinic’s docket. Past fellows have gone into both doctrinal and clinical teaching, as well as nonprofit practice. Pay and Benefits: The annual salary for the position is $75,000 the first year and $80,000 the second year, along with opportunities for medical, dental, and eye insurance. The fellowship includes a private office in the new Technology Clinics workspace, supportive mentorship from our welcoming law center colleagues, and engagement in academic life through the university-wide Technology & Society Initiative . The fellow may have time to develop their own scholarship, if they choose. Qualifications: Qualified candidates will have post-J.D. legal experience that includes 1) iPIP work, and 2) admission or ability for admission to the D.C. Bar. Successful candidates will find joy in iPIP work; share our enthusiasm for collaborating with students, clients, and colleagues; and demonstrate creativity through their work. Clinical practice is a benefit; no technical degree is needed .
