Currently, this position will teach the following classes:Business Leadership Development Human Resources Management Retail Management Business courses are an important component in WVC's Associate of Applied Science degree in Business. This is a two-year professional technical degree for both new students and mid-career professionals looking to advance their knowledge or career opportunities. Students in other programs of study often enroll in Business classes to advance their skills. Note: Employment of individuals who reside outside the state of Washington requires prior approval from both human resources and the college president. Absent such approval, the college will not hire out-of-state employees. Essential FunctionsPrepare or modify course content including syllabi, presentations and lessons, in accordance with college course outlines. Provide appropriately challenging instruction for assigned courses using varying modalities, including preparation for educational activities, evaluation of students' work, and consultations with students to help them realize their full potential as learners. Maintain accurate class and other records required by the college. Give timely feedback and progress reports to students during the quarter and submit final grades at the end of the quarter. Ensure timely student communication. Maintain office hours. Work cooperatively within the department and college community and attend department chair meetings.
