About this position

The part-time ACCOUNTING faculty is an instructional position directly responsible to the Faculty online manager. The instructor's duties and responsibilities are teaching students, performing a variety of administrative duties, and coordinating activities. Adjunct (part-time), semester-based employment with compensation based on course load and institutional pay schedule. Education and Experience : Masters Degree from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in ACCOUNTING related to the coursework to be taught is required Experience in post-secondary teaching is preferred. Knowledge Skills and Ability : Must be efficient with using computers and learning various electronic systems such as Etrieve (electronic forms), Eagle Self Service and Blackboard. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff. Experience using educational technology and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard). Demonstrated ability to teach subject matter through education, experience, and skills. Demonstrated written and oral communications skills. Commitment to working with diverse and under prepared student populations. Essential Functions: Teach courses according to syllabi and textbooks as approved by the department. Advise students and assist them in obtaining their educational goals. Adhere to assigned class time schedule. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress in compliance with college policies; submit certification rolls require by the Central Texas College Registrar office by submission due date. Provide statistical information to office as requested. Keep supervisor informed of any student needs and problems. Track attendance and post final grades to Eagle Self Service Communicate regularly with students regarding course expectations, progress, and resources. Attend Faculty In-service each term.
