Term Instructor - Cosmetology Pool Posting Number: F0539 Department: Business Administration Position Type: Faculty Employment Status: Term Salary: Minimum - $60,523.00 per 9 months Open Date: 08/12/2026 Close Date: Job Description Summary: Teach 18 contact hours per regular semester that can include online courses and /or dual credit/early college classes. Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in the teaching discipline. Teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need. Make continuous efforts to advance the quality of instruction. Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students who have differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes. Maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community. Ability to plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/ outline provided to insure course content and objectives are met. Ability to utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate various learning styles of students. Successful experience utilizing instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources and other appropriate media in instruction. Minimum Qualifications:Associate's degree. Current Texas Cosmetology licensure. Three (3) years' work experience in cosmetology. Have met the requirements of graduation by the job start date. Preferred Qualifications: Successful college teaching experience. Experience teaching college level online courses and/or documented successful training in a college online learning management system (e.g. Blackboard, Canvas). Ability to teach and communicate with students of varied multicultural backgrounds. Knowledge of and commitment to teaching strategies and methods which enhance student success.
