This position is non-faculty rank, full-time, academic year (9 month, with opportunity for summer teaching appointment), staff teaching position with continuing appointment beginning in August 2026.</p> <p style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 8.0pt;line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif"> </p> <p style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 8.0pt;line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">The AI Engine – National Security and Defense will teach up to eight sections within the <a href="https://engineering.purdue.edu/VIP" target="_self">Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) Program</a> each semester and contribute to ongoing AI curriculum development to prepare the next generation of engineers with cutting-edge AI curricula, experiential learning, and interdisciplinary training that meet national and global workforce needs. The experiential learning component of this position will include project sponsors from the Department of War and the Intelligence Community as well as closely-affiliated corporations.
