Develops and teaches concepts and strategies for a variety of courses. May require teaching courses at MATC campuses, business, community, other sites, evening, and/or weekends. Under the supervision of the Dean, MCT Pathway, to plan and teach related and shop activities in the welding curriculum to include the areas of layout, blueprint reading, fabrication, oxy-fuel welding and cutting, shielded metal arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, gas metal arc welding, flux-core arc welding with self and gas shielded wires, inspection and testing, and welding math. Characteristic Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare for and deliver instruction and perform teaching-related activities. Manage the classroom/laboratory. Develop curriculum and monitor and revise as appropriate to maintain course effectiveness; assist in program evaluation. Manage equipment, supplies and materials. Assess student performance and advise students on academic issues. Collaborate with the advisory committee in the program area. Attend departmental and institutional meetings.
