ID 2026-2772 Position Type Adjunct Category Nursing Overview The faculty will be responsible for student instruction, and/or clinic supervision on a part-time basis in the Nursing Programs. Qualifications EDUCATIONBachelor's Degree in Nursing. Required Master's Degree in Nursing (Desired), OR, completion of a MSN degree within the timeline established by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and submission of a written 5-year plan to do so; as well as produce a transcript yearly to demonstrate progression towards the MSN degree. Required Doctorate Degree (PhD, EdD, or DNP) in nursing, education, or a closely related field. Preferred LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONSRN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Current, active, unencumbered RN license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Required EXPERIENCEOne to two years of clinical nursing experience within two years of employment. Required Relevant teaching experience on the secondary or postsecondary level. Preferred ABILITIES AND SKILLSEffective verbal and written communication skills. Required Developed organizational skills. Required Must be certified in CPR at the Basic Life Support level or higher and maintain certification. Required Must possess a valid driver's license. Required ResponsibilitiesInstruct, supervise, and evaluate students in the courses of the Nursing Programs. Supervise, guide and instruct students in nursing laboratory, simulation, and clinical areas. Maintain accurate written records of student performance. Assist other faculty and school administrators with laboratory development, coordination, and maintenance. Maintain office hours according to contractual guidelines. Attend department/team meetings as scheduled. Must comply with policies and procedures of clinical sites where instructing students. Complete the Qualifications and Professional Development form and an updated CV annually and submit to supervisor to demonstrate completion of continuing education requirements for PA state RN license. Submit to supervisor a copy of nursing license upon initial hire and renewal. Maintain all College and clinical site compliances annually and as requested. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with curriculum review, revision, and development. Physical Standards and Special Job FeaturesStanding or walking for extended periods of time. Multiple physical positioning including full range of motion. Fine motor dexterity. Lifting up to 50 pounds. Pay Transparency The part-time rate for 2026/27 will be the greater of $1180 per credit or $787 per contact hour, prorated for student enrollment under seven. The approved substitute pay rate is $49.19 per hour during the first week of substituting and the prorated part-time teacher rate for consecutive substitute assignments that exceed one week.
