Washington, DC 20017 Brief Description of Duties The University of the District of Columbia is a public land grant institution of higher learning dedicated to providing quality, career focused undergraduate and graduate programs that prepare students with the knowledge, skills, and credentials needed to launch, enhance, or change careers. Incumbents must teach all assigned classes and hours as determined by semester course schedule; Incumbents will be required to prepare and deliver relevant curriculum to students in the course, using a variety of teaching methods to include, but not limited to, lecture, class discussion, demonstration labs, and projects. The University of the District of Columbia Community College (UDC-CC) a branch campus of the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) is seeking enthusiastic and qualified part-time instructors interested in teaching Entrepreneurial Development Training Course(s). The training programs are intended to provide students with the fundamental, intermediate, and advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities of enrolled students. The course(s) will teach students foundational entrepreneurial skills such as innovative problem solving, pitching, and financial management and analysis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Teaches assigned course(s) as specified in WDLL’s regular semester course schedule and for customized partnership cohorts, as necessary. • Developing customized work-based learning projects and/or opportunities to apply learned knowledge and skills • Connecting students’ career pathway courses and training to entrepreneurial endeavors. • Evaluates and select texts and instructional materials; prepare course materials and lesson plans. •
