Salary: Depends on Qualifications Job Number: 202600044 Department: Nursing and Health Sciences Opening Date: 10/07/2026 Closing Date: Continuous Description The Adjunct Instructor of the Phlebotomy course taught within the Phlebotomy Certificate program is an adjunct position. The Adjunct Instructor, in cooperation with Director of ASDN and Certificate Programs, ensures program compliance with the Florida Department of Education curriculum frameworks. Examples of Duties Teach college vocational level Phlebotomy course. Conduct the learning experience in the classroom. Prepare for instruction - syllabi, lesson plans, exams, uses assessment strategies to assist the continuous development of the learner, use effective communication techniques with students and others. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the subject matter, use appropriate and current technology in the teaching and learning process. Minimum Qualifications EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Must be Certified Laboratory Technician, Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, Paramedic, Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist with a minimum of two years of full-time experience (or its equivalent). Ability to present information in a coherent manner and the ability to fairly evaluate student retention of that information. Teaching experience is preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES REQUIRED: Ability to use effective communication techniques with students and others. Ability to teach traditional courses using engaging instructional strategies. Ability to work with various educational professionals and other stakeholders in continuous improvement of the educational experiences of students. Ability to use technology in the teaching and learning process. Ability to present information in a coherent manner and the ability to fairly evaluate student retention of that information. Skills in interpersonal relationships. Must be computer literate.
