Tracking Code Adj1274A Job Description We are seeking adjunct instructors for the Department of Communication, English and Foreign Languages at Cameron University in Lawton and/or Duncan. We are particularly seeking instructors for English composition / college writing, general education communication courses and foreign languages, but instructors may also be asked to teach professional writing, creative writing, literature, journalism or public relations courses as needed. This posting is to create a pool of interested applicants from which the department may draw as sections become open at any point during the academic year. This posting may or may not result in hiring, dependent on our current needs, but we will keep applications on file. RESPONSIBILITIES: Adjuncts holding this position may teach a maximum of 9 credit hours a semester. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Master’s degree relevant to the discipline of instruction OR, a Master’s degree in another discipline, with at least 12 graduate credit hours relevant to the discipline of instruction OR, at least 3 years of professional experience in the discipline equivalent to the achievement of academic credentials OR, for temporary qualification only, current enrollment in and progress toward a Master’s degree relevant to the discipline of instruction, with at least 9 graduate credit hours in the discipline already completed PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline and significant college teaching experience. SALARY: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
