Position Title: Adjunct Faculty - PSYB 301: Research Methods and Statistics # of Openings: 1 Department/Program: Psychology 11100 Work Location: 100% On-Site Campus Location: Arapahoe Campus Reports to: Department Chair FLSA Classification: Exempt/Salaried FTE: 8% (3 hrs/week) Compensation: $1,300 per credit Application Deadline: 8/1 or until filled Job Summary The Psychology Department seeks to hire an adjunct faculty member to teach one section of the 3-credit undergraduate level course, PSYB 301, Research Methods and Statistics. Each section is 3 credits or 45 "contact" hours, offered in the Fall semester of 2026, and will be taught in a fully in-person format. This course introduces statistical analysis and research methods used to test theories within psychological science. Students learn the most common techniques for describing data and making inferences in psychological research. Students learn to develop research questions; design rigorous and ethically sound experiments; and collect, analyze, and interpret data. Prerequisite: PSYB101. Job Duties & Responsibilities * Create and maintain a positive team environment and behave professionally with everyone encountered in the course and scope of the job duties. * Teach with a professional level of preparedness for the duration of a 15-week semester for 3 hours each class. For the Fall 2026 semester, this class is scheduled to meet once weekly 11:45am-2:30pm on Fridays. * Start with a recent version of the course syllabus according to the Academic Affairs syllabi instructions and submit an updated course syllabus to the Office of Academic Affairs by the established deadline. * Use the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) to provide students with course syllabus, assignments, and other resources as needed. * Provide one hour of office hours each week via Zoom or other easily accessible telecommunications/virtual hosting platform, plus availability to students by appointment. * Obtains permission from the c
