Adjunct Faculty – ENGL11100 College Writing 1 Location: Remote (U.S.) Employment Type: Part-Time | Adjunct Faculty Institution: U.S.-Accredited University (University name confidential) Compensation: $50–$70 per teaching hour (based on qualifications and experience) Class Timing: 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM EDT Weekly Commitment: Approximately 1.5 teaching hours per week (subject to change based on academic requirements) About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Adjunct Faculty member to teach College Writing I. This is a remote teaching opportunity for educators who are passionate about helping undergraduate students develop strong academic writing, critical thinking, and communication skills. This is a teaching-only role, with live online classes delivered in a virtual learning environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver live online instruction for College Writing I. Teach undergraduate students academic writing, composition, and critical reading. Facilitate an engaging and interactive virtual classroom environment. Deliver classes using the university's Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS). Required Qualifications Master's degree in English, English Literature, Composition, Rhetoric, or a closely related discipline. Bachelor's degree in the same or a closely aligned discipline. Minimum 5 years of college/university-level teaching experience in College Writing, English Composition, Freshman Writing, Academic Writing, or related undergraduate English courses. Prior experience teaching using Blackboard or a similar Learning Management System (LMS). Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Note: This is a teaching-only role. Faculty members are responsible solely for delivering live online instruction. If grading support is required, it will be assigned separately and compensated independently. Compensation for grading will be communicated at the time of assignment and will not be paid on an hourly basis.
