Adjunct Part-Time Faculty Positions - College of Arts and Sciences Location: Bowie, MD, United States Position Type: Temporary (Fixed Term) Compensation Range: $3,500 - $4,000 per course, subject to change Department: College of Arts & Sciences, JM Job Description Bowie State University has a reputation for providing a high-quality education to undergraduate and graduate students and we are seeking educators who share our commitment and mission. Responsibilities We are seeking to recruit qualified and experienced Adjunct faculty to teach online programs in the following areas: • English • Communications • Education • Human Resources • Mathematics • Public Speaking Minimum Qualifications • Candidates must have M.A., M.S, M.Ed., with at least 18 hours in their respective areas and professional experience in the field of study. • Certifications and industry experience required where necessary. • Preference will be given to those having prior undergraduate-level teaching experience. • Strong communication skills, ability to provide mentorship and guidance remotely by email, phone and or video call, and willingness to offer extensive feedback on student work required. • ABD’s will be considered with appropriate 18 hours in the specific field. Preferred Qualifications • Doctorate degree preferred in related field. • Prior college teaching experience is strongly preferred. • On-line teaching experience and/or Quality Matters certification strongly preferred.
