Job Description Summary Organization's Summary Statement: Resumes are currently being accepted for adjunct positions in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, and Marketing in the Department of Business, Management and Accounting. We are looking for experienced professionals who would like the opportunity to share their knowledge and skills. These part‑time positions report directly to the Department Chair and will involve teaching one to three undergraduate courses per semester in the candidate's area of expertise, as well as engaging in departmental activities. Salary: $3,189.00 – $3,417.53 per course, unless the low-enrollment compensation policy applies. Benefits Generous benefits include medical, prescription, dental, and accidental death & dismemberment. The medical benefits are subject to subsidy restrictions based upon number of courses taught. Voluntary participation in supplemental retirement accounts (SRAs) to include TIAA, Fidelity, or MSRP‑Nationwide; participation in state sponsored MetLife life insurance and/or USM sponsored MetLife life insurance plan; long term disability insurance, and the employee assistance program. Responsibilities Teaching one to three undergraduate courses per semester in the candidate's area of expertise. Advise and mentor students. Engage in departmental activities. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications A master's or doctoral degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a closely related field. Note: Individuals with degrees earned outside of the United States may be subject to degree verification. Verification of degree is the responsibility of the candidate. Physical Demands May require extended periods of standing, bending, stooping, sitting at desk. May require lifting. Requires communication with a variety of constituents externally and internally. Requires operation of a variety of office equipment. Preferences Professional certifications, such as a CPA
