About this position
The University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work periodically appoints non‑tenure‑track, professional‑track faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate social work courses. Appointments may be part‑time or full‑time, depending on instructional needs and course load. While no positions are currently available, the School maintains an active pool of qualified applicants for temporary, part‑time instructional opportunities as they arise. Individuals selected from this pool may be assigned to teach lower‑ or upper‑division undergraduate courses, as well as graduate courses offered during daytime and/or evening hours. Appointments are typically made on a semester‑by‑semester basis. Renewal is contingent upon departmental need, available funding, and demonstrated successful performance.
