Job Description: Workforce Development and Community Education offers a variety of programs that provide students with the knowledge and skills to engage the workforce directly. The Control Tower Operator program offers students the opportunity to become one of the next generations of air traffic control specialists beginning in contract tower facilities which could lead to positions within the FAA. The cornerstone of teaching is student success, so our classes regularly incorporate equitable teaching and learning strategies. This position will empower our students to achieve success by helping them develop their competencies through innovative education. Reporting to the Executive Director for the Center for Aviation Sciences in Workforce Development and Community Education (WFD&CE), the Aviation Instructor position provides part-time course instruction in a specific content area. Special consideration will be given to candidates who have a background which includes training on high fidelity simulator training to include one on one instruction and debrief, and experience implementing student-centered instructional strategies.
