This is a volunteer, unpaid adjunct faculty appointment. The Faculty Appointment Volunteer Adjunct Professors serve as members of the University’s instructional faculty and provide academic guidance to students within EMU’s online, self-paced learning environment. Faculty members are expected to uphold high standards of scholarship, professionalism, academic integrity, and student engagement while helping students connect theory with meaningful professional and ministry practice. Responsibilities may include: Facilitating university-level courses within the faculty member’s academic discipline Evaluating student work and providing substantive, individualized academic feedback Maintaining an engaged faculty presence through announcements and student communication Mentoring adult and emerging professional learners Supporting the integration of scholarship, ethical leadership, professional practice, and faith Upholding University academic standards, policies, and expectations Participating in the intellectual and academic life of the University as opportunities arise Academic Disciplines Appointments may be available in areas including: Business Administration & Entrepreneurship Leadership & Organizational Studies Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Theology, Ministry & Christian Studies
