We are seeking industry experts to join our ongoing Part-Time Faculty Pool in Manufacturing Technology. This quarter-to-quarter position transitions real-world technical mastery into the classroom, directly preparing students for high-demand careers in precision machining, tooling, and industrial automation. Advanced Manufacturing Lab Infrastructure Instructors in this program deliver practical, safety-first education within our fully equipped, modern advanced manufacturing floor. Candidates are expected to operate, teach, and supervise students using the following equipment and software ecosystems:CNC Milling & Turning: Haas CNC Mills (3-axis, 5-axis trunnion, 4th-axis, horizontal units) and Haas CNC Lathes featuring live tooling capabilities. Manual Tooling: Sharp and Jet manual mills equipped with powerfeed and 2-axis CNC Digital Readouts (DRO), along with Harrison and Monarch manual lathes. Abrasive & Thermal Processing: Clausing hydraulic surface grinder and integrated laboratory furnace setups. Automation & Robotics: Industrial-grade FANUC Robot Arms configured for pick-and-place and manufacturing cells. Advanced & Additive Manufacturing: Excetek Wire EDM systems paired alongside Creality and Bambu 3D printers. Integrated Industry Software: Full software deployment utilizing MasterCAM, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, and Vericut. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Instructional Delivery:Deliver hands-on, high-quality instruction in alignment with established course outcomes. Safely demonstrate and supervise the setup, operation, and programming of manual machines, CNC systems, and automation software. Student Evaluation & Support: Provide timely, transparent grading and feedback via the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS). Maintain structural availability to support student inquiries outside of active runtime hours. Inclusive Pedagogy: Impart enthusiasm into technical trade curriculum while fostering equity, inclusion, and safety-minded awareness among students from highly diverse backgrounds. Lab Safety Enforcement: Strictly monitor shop floor activities to maintain total compliance with OSHA, WISHA, and institutional safety regulations. Qualifications Required Education & Experience Option A: Associate degree in a relevant engineering or manufacturing discipline AND at least three (3) years of verified industrial manufacturing experience;OR Option B: High school diploma or equivalent certification AND five (5) or more years of verified industrial manufacturing experience; AND (along with either A or B) Operating proficiency on at least two of the primary lab platforms listed in the infrastructure profile (e.g., Haas CNC systems, MasterCAM, FANUC programming, or manual toolmaking). Commitment to adopting equity-minded, culturally relevant teaching frameworks for non-traditional student populations.Preferred Qualifications Prior experience conducting formal technical training, structured trade apprenticeships, or community college instruction. Current industry credentials such as NIMS certifications, AWS welder credentials, or specialized CAM/software badges. Conditions of Employment Physical Work Environment: The College operates on campus and remotely, with the option for some assignments to completed in an online environment based on program or area needs. For remote (online) instruction, faculty will need to provide their own workspace and internet access, noting the College will provide technical equipment and support for online work needs. For on-campus in-person instruction, work is usually performed in a classroom, shop, or lab space that requires standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time. Faculty typically use computers, media equipment, and field-specific technology in the work environment. Terms: This is a part-time, non-tenured, quarter-by-quarter faculty position. Hiring is contingent on student enrollment demands and program budget allocations.
