Part-Time Faculty: BUA 474: Project-Based Learning in Business (Spring 27) Location: Whitman School of Management Pay Range: $5,500 per course Pay Determination: Salary offers at Syracuse University will be based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position in the context of the home department, school, or college. Salary offers may also be influenced by prior relevant work or industry experience, where applicable. Faculty pay ranges are for 8.5 months' salary unless otherwise specified. FLSA Status: Hours: As determined by department head Job Type: Part Time Rank: PTI/Adjunct Campus: Syracuse, NY Unionized Position Code: UA Job Description: The Whitman School of Management seeks Part-Time Faculty for BUA 474, Project-Based Learning in Business Course Description: Experiential learning opportunity that will apply knowledge and skills acquired in the classroom to external business projects, working directly with an external client. Students must apply and be accepted before registering. Course culminates in a 7-day trip with enrolled students to Prague. Qualifications: MBA Degree preferred Job Specific Qualifications: Responsibilities: Preparation of lectures, projects, and other student assignments, in collaboration with Experiential Center and external consulting partner Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance level of the course Meeting all designated class periods Submitting completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to university regulations and school/college-level policies Providing departmentally sanctioned form for completing student evaluations Grading student assignments and exams in timely manner Building a positive rapport with students and other faculty members Other responsibilities as indicated including associated travel.
