PART-TIME COSMETOLOGY INSTRUCTOR Are you a licensed cosmetology professional who is passionate about sharing your expertise and helping students build successful careers in the beauty industry? Highland Community College is seeking a Part-Time Cosmetology Instructor to join our team for the Spring 2027 semester. This part-time position is scheduled Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Key Responsibilities: · Teach cosmetology students in both classroom and hands-on salon learning environments. · Deliver instruction that supports student mastery of cosmetology theory, techniques, safety practices, and professional standards. · Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support learning and skill development. · Prepare students for industry success by integrating current cosmetology practices and trends into instruction. · Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that promotes student achievement. What We're Looking For: Education and Experience: · Current Illinois Cosmetology License required. · Current Cosmetology Teaching Credential required. · Willingness and ability to teach the cosmetology courses offered by the college. · Previous cosmetology teaching experience preferred. · Prior salon experience preferred. · Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a passion for student success.
