Italian Adjunct Faculty About Onondaga Community College: Onondaga Community College, located in Syracuse, NY, is a college of the State University of New York (SUNY) system and one of 30 locally sponsored community colleges throughout New York State. Job Description: The Department of Humanities & Social Sciences is seeking candidates with expertise in Italian to teach ITA101 and ITA102 for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMaster's degree in Italian from an accredited college, university or a foreign equivalent. ORMaster's degree in Education or Linguistics from an accredited college, university or a foreign equivalent, with 18 graduate credits in Italian. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSCollege teaching experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and other languages will be considered. Additional Information:Adjunct rate of pay for the 26/27 academic year is $1,527/credit hour. Classes will be assigned on an as needed basis dependent upon enrollment. Adjuncts are eligible to participate in the NYS Teacher's Retirement System.
