Title: Instructional Assistant Professor - Special Education - Creating a Pool Employee Classification: Instructional Asst Professor Division Name: Academic Affairs College/Unit: College of Education Department: Special Education Campus Location: Normal, IL Job SummaryThe Department of Special Education invites a pool of qualified persons interested in non-tenure-track teaching positions (part-time or full time) in anticipation of possible openings throughout the 2026-2027 academic year and summer sessions. The Department emphasizes excellence in teaching and seeks energetic and knowledgeable instructors who will teach students pursuing a special education major or minor. We seek individuals with expertise to teach undergraduate courses (face-to-face and online) in one or more of the following areas: introduction to special education; early childhood /early intervention; education of learners with extensive support needs; transition from school to adulthood in special education; class-wide and individualized behavior supports; assistive technology; and bilingual/ESL special education. Applicants with expertise and experience in these subdisciplines are encouraged to apply. Applications are accepted continuously for non-tenure-track positions and reviewed as vacancies become available. There may not be an actual vacancy at the time you apply.
