<div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Job Summary</b></H2> </div><div><p>The Infection Prevention and Staff Educator is responsible for the Infection Prevention and Control activities within Purdue University Student Health (PUSH) Center. Annually evaluates and enhances the existing infection control plan for the Student Health Center. Develops, implements and maintains a reporting system for communicable diseases, public health reporting, healthcare acquired infections, and other reportable infections. Chairs the Infection Prevention and Control Committee. Prepares and presents the monthly quality activity report for the Quality Management Committee. The Infection Prevention and Staff Educator is also responsible for the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of educational programs for effective onboarding, retention, and professional development focused on supporting an engaged workforce and exemplary patient outcomes. Assures compliance with best practices, and regulatory and policy requirements. Works in collaboration with other PUSH departments to promote safe and effective patient-centered care. Collaborates with all managers of PUSH to support ongoing education and competency requirements. Ensures adherence to regulation and accreditation standards and all related PUSH policies, procedures, and guidelines through the infection control plan and appropriate staff education.
