Title: Humanities Adjunct (2027 Academic Year) Agency: Germanna Community College Location: Spotsylvania - 177 FLSA: Exempt Hiring Range: $836-$1,737/per credit hour Full Time or Part Time: Part Time Additional Detail Job Description: Germanna Community College is a public, open access institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System. The College is a dynamic learning organization that serves as a Germanna regional leader and preferred partner where quality learning experiences enable students to participate effectively in the social, economic, political, intellectual, and cultural life of their communities. Germanna Community College is centrally located in Fredericksburg, VA between Washington D.C. and Richmond and between the Blue Ridge mountains and the Chesapeake Bay. Full of history, the area offers a community rich with diversity, the arts, technology, vineyards, hiking, canoeing/kayaking, and many other activities. This posting is intended to establish a pool of qualified adjunct candidates for anticipated instructional needs for 2027. Actual hiring and course assignments are contingent upon enrollment, scheduling demands, program needs, and funding availability. As a result, there may or may not be positions filled from this posting. Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. Final salary determination and placement within this range are based on the candidate's academic credentials and occupational experience as evaluated via the VCCS-10 process.
