LOCATION: Primarily Fall River and/or New Bedford, but other campuses also as needed SALARY: $30.00/hr STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Semester Availability Spring Semester: 4 hours every Saturday morning for 15 weeks Fall Semester: 4 hours every Saturday morning for 15 weeks The Fire Science Program at Bristol Community College is seeking a qualified and motivated Basic EMT Instructor Assistant to support instruction in its Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) program. This part-time position works closely with the Lead Instructor to facilitate high-quality EMT education through classroom instruction, skills labs, and realistic scenario-based training. The Instructor Assistant plays a vital role in student learning, skills competency, and program success.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Instructional Support Assist with teaching and demonstrating EMT-B curriculum and core skills. Reinforce course content aligned with the Massachusetts EMT-Basic curriculum, National EMS Education Standards, and program learning outcomes. Provide hands-on skills instruction, including scenario-based learning and psychomotor skill development, during skill labs and practice sessions. Provide coaching, tutoring, and guided practice to students. Model professional EMS behaviors, communication, and clinical decision-making.
