The College is a dynamic learning organization that serves as a Germanna regional leader and preferred partner where quality learning experiences enable students to participate effectively in the social, economic, political, intellectual, and cultural life of their communities. Germanna Community College is centrally located in Fredericksburg, VA between Washington D.C. and Richmond and between the Blue Ridge mountains and the Chesapeake Bay. Full of history, the area offers a community rich with the arts, technology, vineyards, hiking, canoeing/kayaking and many other activities. This posting is intended to establish a pool of qualified adjunct candidates for anticipated instructional needs for 2027. Actual hiring and course assignments are contingent upon enrollment, scheduling demands, program needs, and funding availability. As a result, there may or may not be positions filled from this posting. This position is located in Virginia. Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance or be willing to relocate to ensure consistent, reliable attendance. Duties and Tasks: • Teach specific classes in the designated discipline. • Develop course syllabi and instructional materials. • Maintain records, assign grades, and assess student progress. • Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations of GCC and the VCCS. • Maintain current competence in the particular discipline or field of specialization.
