Salary: $52.64 - $76.43 Hourly Location: All Campuses, Rogue Community College, OR Job Type: Adjunct Faculty Job Number: 02227 Department: Science Opening Date: 09/18/2026 Closing Date 6/30/2027 11:59 PM Pacific This is an adjunct faculty pool for teaching part-time in the Science department. Compensation is based on the 26-27 Adjunct Faculty Salary Schedule (Download PDF reader) Instructor is responsible for the planning and implementation of various Science (chemistry and general science) courses. Instructor is required to create a course syllabus, instruct students in the subject matter in accordance with that syllabus, maintain attendance records, assess student progress and evaluate course work for a letter grade. Instructor will maintain college standards in all aspects of professionalism, record keeping and instruction within the team atmosphere of the science department of Rogue Community College. Supervision Received The Director is responsible for evaluating faculty under procedures developed by the vice president and collaborates with the Dean and Department Coordinator regarding faculty workload, professional growth, retention, and department staffing decisions. Supervision Exercised The instructor is responsible for carrying out all duties required to supervise students in lecture or lab. This includes classroom control, maintaining a safe environment, insuring proper care and use of equipment, and classroom discipline.Examples of Duties - Essential Functions Instructs students in a classroom, lab, learning center, or other setting as appropriate during the day, evening, or weekend. Prepares, distributes, and utilizes instructional support materials
