Position Overview Associate Faculty Pool, Biology: Anatomy & Physiology and Nutrition (PT Faculty) SALARY: A five-credit "lecture mode" class would be approximately $6,560.52 LOCATION: Lynnwood Washington We accept applications for part-time faculty positions on an ongoing basis. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Master's degree, or equivalent degree, in anatomy and physiology, nutrition, food science, or related biology life science discipline. Experience in an instructional role in a postsecondary institution. Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Demonstrated successful teaching experience in anatomy and physiology, nutrition, or other human biology at a community college. Evidence of excellence in teaching and focus on student learning. Ability to work in a variety of teaching and learning situations, including with individuals from a wide variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, diverse ages, life experiences, and abilities. Knowledge and evidence of innovative, student-centered and evidence-based teaching methods and curriculum development best practices. Experience with online teaching and the use of technology (including biotechnology and learning management systems) in teaching biology, especially in laboratories. Ability to successfully interact with students, staff, colleagues and supervisors as part of an educational team.
