GENERAL SUMMARY : The University of Rochester School of Nursing is seeking faculty candidates for clinical faculty positions for the undergraduate programs. Candidates must have a RN license and relevant advanced practice experience as well as experience with professional nursing education, education technology, program development, and project management. Candidates are expected to have a record of scholarly work, a commitment to interdisciplinary approaches and teaching experience. Rank and salary are commensurate with education and experience. Clinical faculty are eligible for promotion along the clinical track. The School of Nursing offers nationally accredited baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degree programs. One of a small number of nursing schools to be designated as an Apple Distinguished School and endorsed by International Nursing Association for Clinical and Simulation Learning (INACSL), the University of Rochester School of Nursing prepares nurses to meet the challenges of healthcare in the twenty-first century. The Unification Model directs nursing education, research, and practice. Unification is not only a philosophical approach but also an organizational structure that operationalizes the interdependence among education, research and practice. Education empowers nurses with knowledge, attitudes, and skills for leadership in professional practice and research.
