About this position
The University of Rochester School of Nursing is seeking a doctoral-prepared Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for a full-time, 12-month clinical faculty position within the Nurse Anesthesia Program. The successful candidate will join the program during its development and implementation phase in preparation for the inaugural cohort beginning in May 2028. The position includes an anticipated effort allocation of 80% to the School of Nursing and 20% to clinical practice. The School of Nursing allocation will include teaching, student advisement, curriculum and program development, scholarship, service, accreditation activities, and other responsibilities consistent with the faculty role. The clinical allocation will support continued clinical competence and experiential qualification in contemporary nurse anesthesia practice. Candidates must hold current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and be eligible for registered professional nursing and nurse anesthesia in New York State. Candidates should demonstrate current clinical expertise in nurse anesthesia practice and experience or interest in professional nursing education, educational technology, curriculum development, simulation, student advisement, program development, and academic service. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in graduate nursing education, interdisciplinary collaboration, clinical practice, and scholarly activity. Rank and salary are commensurate with education and experience. Clinical faculty are eligible for promotion along the clinical faculty track.
