Position: Adjunct Lecturer Department: Biological Sciences Classification: Part-time, Non-benefit eligible Location: Lisle, IL Rate: $1400 per contact hour (with a terminal degree) and $1200 per contact hour (without a terminal degree). This compensation is per contact hour and is subject to change based on class size. Brief overview of duties: The Department of Biological Sciences is seeking engaging and enthusiastic instructors to help to fill out our adjunct pool and assist in delivering course in the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 terms at our Lisle, IL, campus. Our department offers classes in the Biological Sciences, as well as Sport and Exercise Science. Immediate needs in Lisle for fall include nonmajors environmental science, introductory biology laboratories, upper division (4000-level) ecology laboratory with writing designation, and capstone writing classes in science and medicine. Additional upper level (3000 or 4000 level) and masters-level (5000 level) elective courses in human physiology and other biological disciplines are also a consistent need. Named courses are in-person classes with already-scheduled meeting times. The right candidates will have at least a master's degree (doctoral degree for masters-level coursework) in biological sciences or a closely related field and will be willing to work well with others as several of these are team-taught courses.
