Adjunct Faculty – Reading, Literacy & Child/Adolescent Literature Pay: $70–$100 per hour Employment Type: Adjunct | Part-Time | Contract Location: Remote – United States Teaching Schedule: U.S. evening hours, typically 6:30 PM–8:00 PM EDT About the Role We are seeking doctorate-qualified Adjunct Faculty to deliver live online instruction in Reading and Literacy. Selected candidates may be considered for one of the following graduate-level courses: RDLT 50900 – Child and Adolescent RDLT 52400 – Developmental Reading & Early Literacy The ideal candidate will have advanced academic preparation and professional expertise in reading, language and literacy, curriculum and instruction, English education, structured literacy, early literacy, or child and adolescent literature. Course assignment will be based on each candidate’s academic qualifications and direct subject-matter experience. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging live online classes to graduate-level students. Connect current reading and literacy research with practical classroom applications. Facilitate discussions on literacy development, instructional practices, assessment, and appropriate literature for children and adolescents. Support critical analysis, reflective practice, and active student participation. Maintain academic quality, professionalism, and consistent course delivery. Note: This position focuses solely on live instructional delivery. Grading, curriculum development, assessment design, and content creation are managed separately. Required Qualifications Completed PhD, EdD, or equivalent doctorate is mandatory. Doctorate in Reading and Literacy, Curriculum and Instruction, Reading Education, Literacy Education, English Education, Language and Literacy, Elementary Education, or a directly related discipline. Relevant master’s degree in Reading, Language and Literacy, English, Elementary Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Technology, or a related field. Graduate degree
