Adjunct Instructor, Dept. of Counseling Salary: Location: Beaumont, TX Job Type: Part-Time Adjunct Job Number: 202600027 Closing Date: Continuous Home Org: Counseling and Special Populations FLSA: Exempt Job Summary The Department of Counseling seeks candidates qualified with a concentration in School Counseling, Clinical Mental Health or Marriage Couples and Family Counseling. This is a part time, pooled position filled on an as-needed basis. Teaches students enrolled in Counseling Skills, Residency, Practicum and Internship and other courses as needed. Essential Job FunctionsTeach online courses using current pedagogical methods. · Maintain effective and timely communication with students, course lead. Maintain effective and timely communication with students, course lead and chair of department. Minimum and Desired Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: · Applicants must have an earned doctorate degree in Counselor Education and licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, or Certified School Counselor. · Experience in online education. Desired Qualifications: · Licensed Professional Counselor; Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, or certified School Counselor. Supplemental Information Key Competencies:· Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Ability to implement effective and innovative teaching strategies.
