Reporting Relationships Reports to: Dean of Arts and Social Sciences Supervision Exercised: None Job Summary Rock Valley College seeks an engaging, innovative Adjunct Education Instructor with K-12 experience and 2000 hours or more of work experience in an early childhood education setting (birth to 8 years old). The Adjunct Education Instructor must be available to teach assigned classes in multiple modes of delivery (in-person, online and hybrid). This position also requires engagement with the course/program assessment process and completion of required institutional training related to teaching in an online and hybrid learning environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Meet classes at assigned times. Plan course content and assign appropriate course work. Maintain student records. Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages active participation and engagement; be responsive to student inquiries in a timely manner. Evaluate student progress and assign grades. Revise course outlines, objectives, and catalog information as needed. Select appropriate texts and teaching materials. Maintain office hours convenient for students and as required by college policies. Prepare course/class reports as required. Attend and participate in conferences related t
