Position: Adjunct Faculty -School of Business, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Technology, and Tourism Man[...] Position Overview The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) invites applications for Adjunct Faculty positions within the School of Business, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Technology, and Tourism Management (S-BEAST-TM). Adjunct faculty are needed to support instruction in hybrid and fully online formats. UMES seeks dynamic educators and industry professionals committed to academic excellence, student success, and workforce preparation. This recruitment supports UMES’ strategic priorities of expanding access to high-quality academic programs, increasing enrollment and retention, and strengthening Maryland’s workforce pipeline in STEM and industry-driven fields. Compensation and Benefits Salary: $3,189 • Medical, prescription, and dental coverage (subject to subsidy restrictions based on number of courses taught) • Accidental death & dismemberment coverage • Voluntary participation in supplemental retirement accounts (SRAs) including TIAA, Fidelity, or MSRP Nationwide • State-sponsored Met Life life insurance and/or USM-sponsored Met Life plan • Long-term disability insurance • Employee assistance program Primary Responsibilities • Teach assigned courses in on-campus, hybrid, or online modalities. • Develop and deliver course materials aligned with approved UMES syllabi. • Maintain regular communication with students and provide timely feedback on assessments. • Utilize the University’s Learning Management System (LMS) effectively. • Participate in departmental meetings as appropriate. • Support accreditation and continuous quality improvement efforts. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications • A Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Hospitality & Tourism Management, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline. • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 10 years of signific
