Description Walla Walla Community College (WWCC) seeks to develop applicant pools for adjunct faculty to teach course offerings throughout the 2026-2027 academic year. WWCC offers opportunities for adjunct faculty to teach courses at all of our campuses: Walla Walla, Clarkston, Washington State Penitentiary, Coyote Ridge Corrections Center, as well as online/remotely (please see required qualifications for approved remote states). Part-time/temporary adjunct faculty positions offer flexible hours and the opportunity to assist a diverse group of adult students in achieving their educational goals. WWCC offers a wide range of opportunities in extended learning, dual-credit alternative high school, workplace learning, outreach learning, and personal enrichment programs. WWCC accepts applications for adjunct faculty positions on a continuous basis, though it does not necessarily imply that there are immediate openings. Applicants who meet the required minimum qualifications and submit a complete application with all required components will become part of the standing pool which the College will draw on as scheduling needs dictate. Qualified candidates are encouraged to submit materials at any time. Candidates who are qualified to teach multiple disciplines are encouraged to apply to each discipline's adjunct pool postings to ensure their application is considered. Applications will be reviewed months prior to the start of each quarter. 2026-2027 Quarter Dates Fall 2026:September 28 - December 16 Winter 2027: January 5 -March 19 Spring 2027:March 31 - June 11 Summer 2027: Early July - Mid August NOTE: The current pool remains in effect until June 30, 2027. Description: Walla Walla Community College is accepting applications for a part-time Computer Science and Security instructor to join our pool of professionals. The ideal candidate will facilitate student learning in foundational computer science alongside modern, integrated defense frameworks. Teaching assignments may potentially include Introduction to Computers and Applications, Introduction to Computer & Information Systems, Routing and Switching, Fundamentals of Network Security, and Modern Cybersecurity Infrastructure. Teaching and Related ResponsibilitiesFacilitate Learning: Teach assigned classes at the scheduled time and place across a variety of modalities, including in-person, hybrid, blended, and online platforms. Curriculum Delivery: Provide clear explanations, assignments, and directions that bridge foundational networking with practical, modern security implementations. Evaluation & Feedback: Conduct frequent outcomes-based evaluations of student performance, providing timely, meaningful feedback so students are aware of their progress throughout the quarter. LMS Management: Post comprehensive syllabi at the start of the quarter, maintain accurate student records, and submit final grades in the College's LMS according to grading policy. Student Support: Post and maintain reasonable office hours for student access, connecting students to campus resources and academic support services. Curriculum Improvement: Review, recommend, and update program textbooks, materials, and technology to keep pace with changing industry standards.
