Department: 211810 - Global Languages,Literature&Perspec and Art Position Summary The Department of Global Languages, Literatures, and Perspectives on our main campus is seeking part-time adjunct instructors to teach French and Italian courses. Courses will be offered on campus primarily during the day. Essential Duties Prepare meaningful lectures and class activities for the full duration of the published class time for each class period according to academic calendar. Create a syllabus that meets the Provost's Syllabus Checklist requirements. Create assessment activities that support the stated learning outcomes for the course. Address student questions in a timely and helpful manner. Use Canvas and other technology to enhance student learning. Support and follow University policies and procedures as well as those for the department. Attend faculty meetings. Submit grades and materials for assessment projects on or before stated deadlines. Communicate student concerns with personnel in the department. Required Qualifications Master's degree in French, Italian, Bilingual/Bicultural Studies, Education, or related field. Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University. Preferred Qualifications PhD in French, Italian, Bilingual/Bicultural Studies, Education, or related field. Experience or training in teaching French or Italian. Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work HoursNone Special Instructions to Applicant This is a pooled position from which Adjunct Instructors will be selected when/if a need arises in the department.
