About this position
The Department of Design at Radford University is seeking an online adjunct faculty member to teach in our Design Thinking certificate and MFA program. We may need instructors in a variety of areas related to Human Centered Design, Design Thinking, Empathy, Design Thinking Studios, Environment Design, Design Management, Story Telling, Collaboration, Research Methods, Instructional Design, and more. As an adjunct faculty member, you'll supplement our department's teaching needs on an as-needed basis. These positions do not come with tenure eligibility, and appointments are made at the discretion of the Dean. There is no guarantee of course assignments; specific responsibilities, start and end dates will be outlined in your letter of appointment. Primary responsibilities include teaching in your area of specialization, and you will be evaluated for every course, including summer sessions. ## Qualifications All faculty must hold at least a Master's degree in the field or discipline they will teach, with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours of coursework directly related to the course(s). In certain cases, the Provost may approve a substitution of professional experience for the degree. We especially value prior teaching experience, design industry experience, and relevant licensing or certifications. ## Application Instructions To apply, please submit an unofficial copy of your post-secondary transcripts.
