Position Title: Adjunct Faculty - Counseling and Helping Relationships II # of Positions to Fill: 1 Department/Program: Somatic Low Residency 12023 Remote Work Authorization: Hybrid On-Site/Remote Campus Location: Nalanda Campus Reports to: Program Chair FLSA Classification: Exempt/Salaried FTE: 15% (6 hours a week) Compensation: $4,500 - 9,000 for the semester Application Deadline: 8/1 or until filled Job Summary The Somatic Counseling Low Residency department seeks an Adjunct Faculty Member to teach graduate level courses during the Fall 2026 semester. Adjunct Faculty are provided established curriculum/syllabus to work with and develop in collaboration with existing Core Faculty. This is a one-semester appointment assigned to a specific course. Logistics of this specific position - Dates and Details This is a 3-credit course, 2 sections at 3 credits each = 6 credits, offered in the Somatic Counseling concentration, to be taught asynchronously online from August 24, 2026 - December 11, 2026, synchronously during an online intensive August 27-29, 2026, and in-person during an intensive on the Nalanda campus from November 2 - 6, 2026. Course Description CMHCe-604 Counseling & Helping Relationships II (3) This course builds on the content and skills presented in CMHC 603. Topics include crisis intervention, suicide prevention, suicide assessment strategies, as well as the use of psychological first aid. Students continue to develop their theoretical orientation, understanding of the stages of therapeutic relationship, and engage in video-taped practice sessions with supervision and integration of feedback. Pre-requisite: CMHC 603 Job Duties & Responsibilities Teaches with a professional level of preparedness for the duration of the semester. In collaboration with course area Core Faculty, reviews syllabus according to the Academic Affairs syllabi instructions and submit the syllabus to the Office of Academic Affairs by the established deadline.
