Participate in the development, implementation, and follow-up of student remediation plans in collaboration with the responsible course faculty and program leadership. Monitor the suitability of clinical experiences for the assigned specialty and report gaps in patient populations, encounter types, or opportunities to meet learning objectives. Contribute to clinical course evaluation and quality improvement through feedback on student outcomes, preceptor experiences, and clinical site effectiveness. Follow institutional policies and applicable professional, regulatory, and accreditation requirements, including expectations related to confidentiality, clinical supervision, and student evaluation. Maintain current clinical knowledge, national certification, and required professional licensure. Required Qualifications Earned graduate degree in nursing (MSN or higher) with preparation as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. Minimum of two years of clinical practice experience as a nurse practitioner in primary care or a setting relevant to the assigned population focus. Current or recent clinical practice experience demonstrating expertise in evidence-based primary care. Ability to assess graduate NP student performance, provide actionable feedback, and document clinical evaluations accurately and promptly. Ability to meet institutional faculty appointment requirements and applicable requirements for the assigned clinical supervision role. Preferred Qualifications Earned doctoral degree in nursing or a related field, such as a DNP, PhD, or EdD. Prior experience as an NP preceptor, clinical faculty member, or clinical site supervisor. Experience teaching or evaluating students in graduate NP programs. Experience working with diverse patient populations, rural communities, or medically underserved populations. Familiarity with electronic clinical tracking systems, learning management systems, and virtual evaluation platforms. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of AGPCNP scope of practice, primary care standards, and population-specific competencies. Ability to evaluate clinical reasoning, patient management, safe prescribing, and professional accountability. Effective communication skills for collaborating with students, preceptors, clinical partners, and program personnel. Ability to recognize performance concerns and support appropriate remediation and escalation. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage site visits, evaluation deadlines, and clinical documentation. Commitment to fair and consistent evaluation, student development, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement. Work Environment and Schedule This is a part-time adjunct position.
