Salary: See Position Description Job Type: Temporary Part-time Unit: Academic Affairs Division/Department: Health Sciences Opening Date: 01/26/2026 Description We seek applicants for part-time instructors to teach for the IDPH-approved Certified Nursing Assistant Program within the College's Health Sciences division. Positions are available at our Normal, IL campus as well as our locations in Lincoln and Pontiac, IL. RequirementsCurrent Illinois Registered Nurse licensure Two (2) years of nursing experience with at least one (1) year of experience in one of the following areas:Teaching theory in an accredited nurse training program or a nursing assistant training program Providing nursing care, including personal care and activities of daily living, to older adults or for chronically ill adults One (1) year of experience in the provision of long-term care facility services or direct care Availability to be present on campus as needed ADN or diploma nurses are required to complete an IDPH-approved Train the Trainer program that includes instruction in Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias of at least four (4) hours or four (4) CEU credits. Registered professional nurses possessing a BSN degree or higher may be exempt from Train the Trainer program completion requirement, but will need to provide documentation of completion of an IDPH-approved specialized workshop, course, seminar, continuing education unit, or other approved training for instruction in Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias of at least four (4) hours or four (4) CEU credits. *** PLEASE ATTACH COPIES OF TRAINING DOCUMENTATION OUTLINED ABOVE WHEN COMPLETING THE APPLICATION PROCESS *** The review of applications will be ongoing.
