Position Title: Adjunct Faculty: PSYB329A Approaches to Healing No. of Positions to Fill 1 Department/Program: Psychology 11100 Work Location: Arapahoe Campus Reports to: Chair of Psychology FLSA Classification: Exempt/Salaried FTE: 8% (3 hrs/week) Compensation: $1,300 per credit Application Deadline: 8/1 or until filled Job Summary: The Psychology Department seeks to hire an adjunct faculty member to teach one section of the 3-credit undergraduate level course, PSYB329A Approaches to Healing. The section is 3 credits or 45 "contact" hours, offered in the FALL semester of 2026, and will be taught in a fully in-person format. Course Description: A basic overview of the theory, practice, and use of various natural approaches to health and healing. Emphasis is placed upon understanding and appreciating these modalities and discerning when and for what they are appropriate. Students research and articulate the paradigms of holistic medicine, clarifying their personal interest for future work in this field. Open to upper-division students with 60+ credits only. Job Duties & Responsibilities: * Create and maintain a positive team environment and behave professionally with everyone encountered in the course and scope of the job duties. * Teach with a professional level of preparedness for the duration of a 15-week semester for 3 hours each class. For the Fall 2026 semester, this class will be scheduled to meet once weekly (either 8:30-11:15am, 11:45am-2:30pm, or 3pm-5:45pm) on a weekday, with day and time to be determined (according in part to instructor availability). * Start with a recent version of the course syllabus according to the Academic Affairs syllabi instructions and submit an updated course syllabus to the Office of Academic Affairs by the established deadline. * Use the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) to provide students with course syllabus, assignments, and other resources as needed. * Grade all assignments, provide feedback to students in a tim
