I've taught in both formal and informal settings. During my engineering degree, I designed and led a department-supported peer learning program in Data Structures — a subject most students (myself included) initially struggled with — teaching around 40 students over two academic years in small groups of 15 for focused attention, with lab access I arranged for hands-on practice. I also volunteered for a year teaching Mathematics to Grade 5 students at a shelter home using experiential learning methods. Professionally, over 10+ years in enterprise technology roles at Meta, InMobi, Akamai, and Zeta, I've regularly had to translate complex technical concepts (APIs, architecture, security protocols) for audiences ranging from engineers to sales teams to C-suite executives — essentially teaching in every client conversation, even when it wasn't formally called that.

I want to give back — I had a mentor who made a subject I was struggling with finally click for me by breaking it down simply, and I've been paying that forward ever since. My style is to explain concepts through real-life, relatable examples rather than asking people to memorize them. For instance, I once helped a non-technical colleague understand the SSL handshake using a cooking analogy — it stuck with her in a way a textbook definition never would have. I use the same instinct professionally: explaining the same technical concept differently depending on whether I'm talking to a marketer, a salesperson, or an engineer. My goal in a lecture is the same — logical, simple reasoning through examples people can actually hold onto, not just recite.
