Join to apply for the Visiting Lecturers - Centre for Foundation Studies role at University of Chester 2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Join to apply for the Visiting Lecturers - Centre for Foundation Studies role at University of Chester business, law, natural sciences, professional studies And Academic Skills The University of Chester’s Centre for Foundation Studies is seeking to appoint Visiting Lecturers to teach on a range of modules for the foundation year of our four-year degrees UNIVERSITY OF CHESTER CENTRE FOR FOUNDATION STUDIES Visiting Lecturer - business, law, natural sciences, professional studies And Academic Skills The University of Chester’s Centre for Foundation Studies is seeking to appoint Visiting Lecturers to teach on a range of modules for the foundation year of our four-year degrees The Centre for Foundation Studies teaches over 500 students undertaking the first (foundation) year of their four-year integrated bachelor’s degree prior to progressing into faculties. Our teaching focus is on transition to higher education and there is an expectation that all teaching staff are able to support student engagement and retention and progression strategies. Applicants will typically be qualified to master’s level. Experience of teaching and assessment is required. Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to use their interest in the subject area to enthuse students in groups of typically around 30-35. The current hourly rate of pay for Visiting Lecturer work is £52.56 per hour. Term 1 Modules at the Centre are taught in three 10-week terms, running Oct-Dec, Jan-Mar and Apr-Jun.
